Mind Movies to Create Your Own Destiny

Create your own destiny with mind movies!

Oh my, this is incredible…

I just saw this interview of a guy from Australia that
could change the way you manifest anything you want
into your life. You really do have to see this:

mind movies

You see, he figured out this powerful way to tap into the
Law of Attraction that practically guarantees
you’ll get whatever you want.

And the surprising thing about it is it is SUPER easy to do,
you can start doing it right now…and here’s the really cool
part…

*****************************
He’s GIVING it away! ForFREE
*****************************

He obviously understands abundance, because he’s
practicing it in a very big way here:

mind movies

So what is it about Aussies anyway? They seem to totally
have this figured out, especially when you consider that
the land down under is where we got…

***********************
The Secret
***********************

I’m sure you’ll agree that was life changing all by itself.

And now, this guy has added another dimension to the
Law of Attraction that ramps up how fast you can manifest
anything you want into your life.

**************************************
This makes the Universe say YES even faster!
**************************************

He even got marketing expert Frank Kern excited about it.
If you haven’t heard of Frank, well, he’s a marketing genius
who makes millions of dollars online. Everything he does
seems to turn to gold.

But he’s not exactly what you’d expect when it comes to using
The Law of Attraction to manifest your goals and desires.

You’ll hear his personal experience with this when you
watch the video:

mind movies

So, if even HE is doing this, what does that tell you about
how effective this is? Bad news for the naysayers who think
it isn’t for “regular” people, or the Law of Attraction is some
kind of mumbo jumbo.

So if you’re really serious about increasing your power to
manifest anything you want into your life super fast,
you need to check this out right now:

mind movies

I’ve already started using this, and I strongly recommend
you do too.

Create your own destiny with mind movies!

P.S. I’m extremely excited about this, because it could
literally transform your life. So be sure you share your story
with me when you start doing this, OK?

Leaders Have A Cause

Are you in business for money or do you have a cause?

If you are in business just to get by day by day and barely be able to pay your bills, you won't be in business very long.

If you have a cause... maybe to change the world one person at a time... maybe to see families brought back together... marriages saved.... parents to spend time with their kids instead of dropping them off at an early age and letting others raise them... maybe to help abused women....

I could go on and on....

Ok, now if you are struggling to pay your own bills how are you going to be able to help a cause?

If you don't have a cause... something that really drives you, you won't have the fortitude to keep plugging away with the stress of business every single day.

It's ok to make money as long as you are doing something that is moral, hones and can help other people.

Zig Ziglar said " If you help enough people get what they want, you will get everything that you want."

Ray Kroc (McDonalds) helped thousands of people get wealthy and in return he became very wealthy. So go ahead and help alot of people and find a cause that you are willing to fight for.
Let your cause drive you and you will feel better about yourself and keep on moving towards your dreams.

Are you in business for money or do you have a cause?

Leaders Take Action

Ready, Fire, Aim!

The number one reason people don't achieve the success they want is not because of the lack of time, money or knowledge. Ii is because they do not do anything.
Others get started and don't give it enough time and quit, sometimes only days from success.

If you are going to start something at least follow through with some action plans so you don't get known for being a quitter.

Also it is not good for your self-esteem because you will feel like you never get anything accomplished.

Set a goal right now to do something, even if it is a small thing.

Don't wait for perfect circumstances. They never come. Just do it!

Ready Fire, Aim!

You've Got What You Got Because You Did What You Did

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

If you are not satisfied with what you have in life, doesn't it make sense that you need to do something different?
If you want to change something in your life, you gotta change something in your life.
That is where a mentor or success coach can help you.
If it seems like you are going round and round the same mountain over and over then it is time to have someone look at your situation and give you their opinion of what you might do differently.
I don't know how many times I was doing something and not getting results and my mentor might have made a simple suggestion and if I listened to him , I got better results.
Even just a simple "do what your doing but do more of it "might have helped me see definite improvement. Sometimes I was just like a cat chasing a tail doing something ineffective or not necessary.

You did what you did to get what you got, so if you don't want want you have you must do something different.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Leaders Read - Free Download of Think And Grow Rich

Download a free copy of Think and grow Rich by Napolean Hill. free download

"Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich" is regarded as a classic on success and achievement - with good reason - millionaires credit their fortunes to the principles he outlines in this book.

I don't know if you are familiar with the story behind Think and Grow Rich, but I'd like to take a moment and explain it so that you can appreciate exactly what this book offers.

Andrew Carnegie, the Scottish steel industry tycoon, was the Bill Gates of his day. Not only was he rich beyond imagination, he was said to have more millionaires working FOR him than anyone else at that time.

Obviously, to get that rich Mr. Carnegie must have been in possession of a fair bit of knowledge that the rest of the world wasn't.

After revealing the secret of his success to Napoleon Hill, who was at that time just a boy, the canny old Scotsman asked him if he would be willing to spend 20 years or more preparing himself to take that secret the rest of the world...

Thank goodness for us, Napoleon
Hill accepted that assignment.

Napoleon Hill set out to find a practical formula that average men and women could use to generate wealth, happiness, and overall success.

In order to do this, he interviewed over 504 successful people including:

  • Henry Ford
  • Thomas Edison
  • Theodore Roosevelt
  • John D. Rockefeller
  • Dr. Alexander Graham Bell
  • Wilbur Wright
  • Charles M. Schwab

Can you imagine being able to sit down and chat with these people about how they achieved all that they did? To be able to spend even 5 minutes with any of these fellows would be priceless. These men are now -- quite literally -- heroes.

Napoleon Hill was able to extract these great men's philosophy on life, their tips for success, and their advice to others. The product of this research is now known as Think and Grow Rich."

Leaders Criticize With Encouragement

Praise and then criticize.

We all have to correct and/or criticize people almost on a daily basis, especially if we have kids! Before you blast them with your criticism, praise them for something good they have done first.

You might want to ask a question before you critcize them or preface it with a statement.

Examples:
You know how much I love you, don't you?
If I could share with you something that ......
We are glad to have you on our team and we see alot of potential hidden inside of you......
If you could do this alot faster would you like to know how?
If I could give you some advice on one thing you need to be more relatable to people would you like to know what that is?

Think how much people need encouragement. People are criticized more often than they are praised. You can make a difference in someone's life with positive encouragement.

Praise and then criticize.

Leaders Know Primary Motivation Factors

Do you know your primary motivating factor?

There are 2 primary motivating factors:

  1. Pain
  2. Pleasure
Pain motivates you to get away from something.
Example: Look in your checkbook. That should be painful enough to get you to do something.

Pleasure motivates you to do something. Look at your dreams list and imagine you are in your dream car. What make, model and color is it? Can you smell the new leather? Can you hear your Bose stereo system? Do you see yourself in the driver's seat?

Pain motivates you to get away from something. Pleasure motivates you towards something. Pleasure motivates you more frequently than pain.

If you enjoy eating a piece of cheesecake, pleasure might motivate you to eat it everyday because it makes you feel good and you enjoy eating it. However you are going to gain weight, so don't indulge yourself everyday. If you do, then the pain of the extra weight gain will have to motivate you to stop eating it.

Do you know your primary motivating factor?

Leaders Don't Procrastinate

If you can do it today, don't put it off until tomorrow!

How many times do we sabotage our success by procrastination?
What are the underlying reasons that so many people procrastinate?
How many things do we do haphazardly because we ran out of time to do them right?
How much money does procrastination cost us in late payments and extra interest charges?

Successful people have learned to conquer procrastination. It takes 30 days to break a habit.
Why not pick one thing you procrastinate with and do it?
Make a decision to pay your bills on time and avoid the late fees, or empty your kitchen sink before you go to bed.

If you can do it today, don't put it off until tomorrow!

Leaders Don't Make Excuses

Making excuses will kill your momentum.

If you allow yourself to make excuses you will never get your goals accomplished. There are over 1.000.000 excuses and we have all made plenty of them.

We are experts at making excuses because we have been doing it all our lives. Just ask any school teacher! I'm sure they could write a book about the excuses they have heard about why homework was not handed in.

We go through school making excuses and excuses will stop us from achieving what we want if we do not change our thinking.

The excuses we tell ourselves are the very worst.

The next time you start making an excuse, stop and replace it with a powerful excuse why you should do something, instead of why you are not going to.

When you are going to watch TV before you read your book for the day, tell yourself you are going to read your book because it will help you learn, and it will help you earn, and it will help you grow. What is watching TV going to do for you?

If you keep telling yourself why you can't do something, you will never get it done. You won't be able to create momentum. You will create inactivity instead.

Making excuses will kill your momentum.

Leaders Create Momentum

You can have momentum or excuses but you can't have both.

Momentum smashes through obstacles.

A small snowball rolling down a hill gets bigger and bigger as it goes and eventually you won't be able to stop it.

If you create momentum and keep focused you will become unstoppable.

The biggest momentum killer is inertia or inactivity.

Inertia starts an never ending cycle of despair - depression- unaccomplished goals - low self esteem- total failure.

I have been there-done that- and I got the t-shirt and the battle scars to prove it!

Life is so much more exciting when you have big dreams and you are focused on them. It is even better when you are plugged into a personal development system and have a mentor to keep you on track.

You can have momentum or excuses but you can't have both.

Leadership Is Believing It Can Be Done

You have to see it and believe that you can do it and then come up with a plan to get it done.

Once you "see it" accomplished in your mind, then you will be able to believe it can be done. When you believe it can be done, then you must map out a plan of how you are going to accomplish it.
If you don't come up with a plan, you won't ever get it done. You must have a plan and focus on the results. If you don't have a plan, you will get distracted and and "forget" all about your goals and dreams.

You have to see it and believe that you can do it and then come up with a plan to get it done.

Leaders See The Impossible And Figure Out A Way To Get It Done

You have to "see it" before you can "do it".

Leaders look at the impossible and "see it" completed before they believe they can "do it". If you don't look at the end product of what you are planning to do, you will never do it because you won't believe it can be done.

One thing I have noticed about the leaders and mentors I work with is they all believe the impossible can be done, and because they believe it can be done, they get it done.

Remember Henry Ford? He told his employees he wanted a V-8 engine designed. They told him it couldn't be done. He told them to design it or he would replace them with engineers that could design it. Guess what? That was the motivation they needed to "see it" and after they saw it they designed it.

You have to "see it" before you can "do it".

Wealthy People Think Differently

What is the difference between a millionaire and a hard-working employee?

For one, the millionaire probably owns his own business and has employees working for him.
Millionaires put their pants on the same way, they just put more expensive pants on. They live in nicer houses, travel the world, eat better food and have an unlimited shopping spree because they THINK differently than we do.

They don't sit around watching TV or wondering what they are going to do next.
They get information from books and cd's and they go to seminars. They are constantly working on themselves because they know if they are not growing they are dying.

Many millionaires will talk about reading a book that changed their life. Some refer to a speaker at a seminar that got them to change their thinking. Others talk about a cd program they listened to.

You can't change your thinking unless you change what is going in your mind.
That is why I am so excited about the personal development and leadership I am involved with.

Leaders Are Proacative, Not Reactive

How you react to a situation will determine the outcome of the situation.

If you are going to be a leader you must be ready to handle anything at a moment's notice. Things constantly change on a moment's notice. That's life.
How you react will determine how everyone else deals with the situation.

One example I heard recently is from a speaker who was planning to use his wife's van to come to PA to speak at a leadership seminar. The day before the trip, they found out the garage made a big mistake and could not have the van ready to go in time for the trip.

The speaker could have reacted negatively and canceled the trip or he could react proactively and find a way to make it happen. Fortunately he is a man of his word and he didn't even think of canceling. He found another vehicle to come out.

How you react to a situation will determine the outcome of the situation.

You Must Have Some Audacious Dreams

You must have outrageous dreams to make any dreams come true.

One thing you must do if you are going to move forward in your life is have some wild dreams. I mean dreams so big that people that know you will think you are crazy! You need to write down what your ultimate life would look like if you could live your wildest dreams.

If I were............
If I had..............
If I were doing......

then I would be profoundly happy and fulfilled. My life would be complete and I would consider myself a success.

What car would you drive?
What house would you live in?
What habits would you break?
What would you do with your life if time and money were no object?
What inspires you or excites you?
What are your biggest dreams?
If you want to be famous, what do you want to be famous for?

Don't hold back. Write everything down.

Some people put their lives on hold because they can't figure out what they want out of life. Meanwhile, life passes them by.

Don't let this happen to you.
If you can't think of anything, commit to thinking about it and write something down.

What are your wildest dreams?

Seriously, if time or money was no object what would you be doing right now? Don't
be afraid to post what you want! It will put your mind one step closer towards figuring out how to get it!

I will share my wildest dreams with you, but you have to share yours with me!
I have huge dreams, but what I want you to know is they are all based on Zig Ziglar's principal - If you help enough people get whatever they want in life, you will get whatever you want.

Financial freedom is a big dream. I would love to have as much money as it takes to do whatever I want to do anytime, I want to do it, anywhere in the world.
I will admit I have wanted a Mercedes Benz since 1985. I still don't have one, but it has been my dream car, and I will have one someday.

We are on our 4th pre-owned Cadillac, but someday there will be a new Mercedes sitting in front of my dream home which will cost $3,000,000 to build. I can see my dream home in my mind.
I am constantly writing more things down that I want in it.

My other wildest dreams include being an internet millionaire, being a famous songwriter with Dove awards for my worship songs, and being a best-selling author with people lined up waiting to see me. I want to be a leadership coach and mentor to thousands of people. I want to speak all over the world teaching leadership skills. I also want to speak all over the world telling people how Jesus has set me free from the chains that bound me.

Leadership Is Personal Development

A personal development program is not an option.

If you want be a leader, a life coach or a mentor to someone then you must be involved with a personal development system. How can you lead others if you let your own brain or leadership skills get stagnate?

The personal development system I am personally involved with has the minimum requirements as follows:

  1. Listen to at least 2 cds a week.
  2. Read a leadership development book at least 15 minutes a day.
  3. Attend a leadership development training seminar monthly.
Of course, you don't have to do everything, but if you really want grow this is what you need to do.

Would you go to a doctor that does not keep up with ongoing developments in health care? I don't think so!
What about the mechanic that bought his tools five years ago and never picked up a new auto mechanic manual since then? He would be out of business quickly.

You have to stay involved with the latest trends in your field and that includes personal development and leadership training.

If you are looking for a life coach, ask them this important question!
What personal development system are you personally getting your training from?
If they can't give you an immediate answer and tell you about it and who they are learning from.... RUN!

A personal development program is not an option.

Leaders Think Outside Of The Box

A leader has to change with changing times.

One thing I have learned over the years is a leader must think outside of the box. You can't just say we have always done things this way, so that's the way we will keep doing it. Most of the companies that went out of business probably said the same thing at one point.

You have to move with the changing current. The boats rise with the tide.

Remember Coca-Cola's slogan in the 80's, "Catch the Wave"? Well if you don't catch it you are going to miss it.

There are still a lot of companies that don't have a presence on the web, and they are missing out on business. I never reach for a phone book. I always look in Google for what I need. I don't even own a phone book. They take up too much space to just sit around.

The hottest trend right now is viral marketing with video. That was thinking out of the box!

Is It Important Or Or Is It Urgent?

What can you do in the next 15 minutes that will take you closer to your goal?

One of the hardest things for me has been getting sidetracked with stuff that needs done, but it really isn't going to get me closer to my goals.
It seems like I always have a gazillion things to do, but which one of them is really going to help me reach the goals in my life?

One thing I love to do and I am very good at is selling on ebay. I love to buy at yard sales and sell the stuff on eBay. I love taking pictures, writing the descriptions, uploading the auction and watch the bidding wars start and end!
I took pride in my auctions and to satisfy my personal best I put time into alot of detail. I uploaded 10 pictures for 1 item, and a description about the slightest detail.

I made a lot of money doing eBay, but it was a the expense of having a personal life, family time, time to devote to my personal development and life coaching business, etc. I also had a very disorganized house, messy and cluttered, but clean. People kept telling me it was not worth it, but to me it was at the time.

Finally I closed up my eBay store because we were doing a total remodel on our house for at least 6 months, inside and out. After we moved back into the house, I had no desire to get started again.
Maybe after I get closer to other goals and have more free time, I might list a few high ticket items now and then, but not spend hours and hours of my life doing it.

Why am I telling you all this? Because I was making money, I thought I was doing good. When I looked at my goals, I was way off. I was doing what I wanted to do, not what I needed to do.

Now before I do something, I ask myself:
What can you do in the next 15 minutes that will take you closer to your goal?

A Leader Learns To Set Priorities

Set Priorities - Make a plan - Follow your plan

One thing you must learn to do is figure out what is important to you and set priorities.

If you don't set priorities and a plan of action to focus on them, you will lose sight of what is important and you will not get the important things done.

You must plan your day based on your priorities and work your plan. Of course there will be times that things will happen to get you off track, but you must get refocused and get back on track.

A Mentor Helps You Stay Focused

If you are accountable to a mentor you will get more done.

One nice thing about counseling with a mentor on a weekly or a monthly basis is you will be accountable to someone on a regular basis.

They will help you set goals and then map out a plan to hit those goals. You will have to tell them what you are going to do.
Then they will say that's great, but what will you do?
Then you make a more realistic goal of what you will do.

If you know that you are going to have to tell them what you actually got done when you see them again, you will strive to get more done. Even, if you let a whole month go by, you will try to get it done the week before you are going to be counseling with them.

I find it is easier to get people to do things if we meet with them on a weekly basis and give them smaller goals than if we meet on a monthly basis and give them larger goals.

If you are accountable to a mentor you will get more done.

A Mentor is a Friend For Life

A mentor is only a phone call away.

A friend sees you as you are, and does not try to change you, but a mentor loves you too much to let you stay the same.
When my husband had a heart attack in 1998, the first calls I made were to our mentors. I knew they would pray for us, and help us make important decisions.
I actually went to a leadership training seminar the day after his heart attack. I figured I could sit and cry all alone all day or at the hospital, or I could go to the seminar and stay focused on what I needed to do, since I would be the only one making money for awhile. It helped to be around my mentors and people that loved us. After the seminar, several people went with me to the hospital and hung out with me.
We have been through some pretty severe financial struggles and we could always count on sound advice from our mentors. We could also count on them telling us to get off the bench and get on the team. They don't mince words.
We could either look at all that went wrong with our life, or get back on track with their help. One thing they never did was join our pity party. They always got us refocused on our dreams.
They never felt sorry for us and paid for our next seminar, but we knew they were expecting us to be there.
We did what it took to never miss anything, even when we were short on income. They didn't take our excuses and we don't take other's excuses.

A mentor is only a phone call away.

Respect Your Mentor and Earn Their Respect

Get on your mentors schedule whenever possible!

We have been coached and mentored by several very successful entrepreneurs over the last 16 years.
We have counseled with them on airplanes and cruise ships , on buses, at diners, their homes, and our home. We have met before or after monthly seminars, and sometimes even during a quick break. We have also counseled by phone.
They care about us and we love and respect them. They don't just give their time away. You have to earn it. If we wouldn't have qualified for some of the trips and promotions, we would have missed valuable counseling time with our mentors.
They are where we want to be, and it stands to reason that if we take their advice and apply it, we will be able to have what they have.
Always get to any seminars or workshops that you possibly can. If your mentor is running a promotion, qualify for it, so you can spend quality time with them.

You Can't Work Hard Enough to Overcome a Negative Attitude.

No matter how hard you try, you can not maintain a positive attitude if you are constantly hanging around people with a negative attitude.
I personally had to quit hanging around my family and friends as much as I was, because I was constantly being told I was a dreamer and I live in a fantasy world, etc.
I heard the negative from them on a constant basis, and I could not wait to get to a weekly workshop or a monthly seminar with like-minded people to get around my mentors.

It has been said that if you list the incomes of the 5 people you associate with and average them together, you will be able to figure out how much your income is.

Personally, I would like to hang around 5 millionaire mentors on a consistent basis, because they think differently than me, and I would not mind having their income, either. When I am around my mentors, they encourage me and help me raise the bar. They tell me I can have whatever I want in life if I am willing to help other people.

The sky is the limit. I have super-sized dreams because my mentors have super-sized leadership and coaching ability.

Sorry, but I can't afford to hang out with the 95% crowd any longer. I need the constant positive energy from my mentors.

You Can't Work Hard Enough to Overcome a Negative Attitude.

Mentorship Is Priceless

The biggest mistakes I ever made, I made on my own.

Personal mentorship is probably one of the greatest benefits from being involved in a personal development program.

I know so many mistakes I have made would not have been made if I thought to pick up the phone and call someone and ask for their advice. Mistakes that have cost me thousands in business.

We can call our mentor who is a very successful entrepreneur, and counsel with him about almost anything in almost every area of our lives. We have discussed so many things over the years about business, family, spiritual, relationship, financial, etc. issues.

We have gone to them after we made some big mistakes and they helped us, but the question is always, why didn't you come to us before you did this. I guess we were being stupid.
Why make major decisions on your own when you have somebody that really cares about you, and has your best interest in mind?

If they can't give us an answer they are quick to tell us that, and they will go to their mentor and get their advice and get it back to us.

How many people will ever have this kind of opportunity in their entire life? Not many!

Another thing we did already was to ask their opinion and still go with our first decision, and once again it cost it a lot of money, because we didn't listen to their advice.

We have finally learned our lesson and we do not make any major decision without at least a phone call to one of our mentors first.

One thing that is important is we know who their mentors are. It is important that your mentor has a mentor. If they are accountable to someone, they will help you make better decisions.

I have heard that it is better to learn from other people's mistakes, rather than learn from your own. I believe that advice is so true.

The biggest mistakes I ever made, I made on my own.

What Happens When You Miss a Leadership Seminar?

When you miss a seminar, you will never know what you missed.

Miss the first seminar, you have a cold.
Miss the second seminar, you have pneumonia.
Miss the third, you're dead.
No matter how fired up you are about your dreams and goals, this formula holds true.

A good example is from personal experience.
When our football superstar son went to college, we made a commitment that we would never miss a football game. Up until that point in our lives, we never missed a monthly seminar with our leadership development team for any reason.
Of course, college football starts in September, so we missed September, October, and November. Then my husband wanted to go deer hunting with the boys, so he missed December.

Fortunately, for us there was a large leadership seminar in January, where we could get fired up and refocused on our goals and dreams. W attended all the seminars until September, and restarted again at another January seminar.

We did this for 4 years. By the end of the 4 years, we were not as committed as we should have been. Since we missed so many seminars, it was easier to make excuses to miss more. Also, we had a harder time getting people on our team to the seminars, because we missed them.
However, if I had it to do over again, I still would have missed all the seminars to be able to watch my son play college football. They grow up so fast. At least I have those memories.

Unfortunately we did miss midget baseball and football games, high school football games and track events, and even state track events. We do regret that, and if we had it to do over we would not have missed anything that was important to our kids. They grow up too fast. Having said all that, I still encourage everyone to get to whatever seminars they can. Keep things in perspective. I don't think a t-ball game is as important as a college football game that your son spent his whole life striving to be the best athlete possible.
We are so proud of both of our children and their families. Unfortunately children spell Love as T-I-M-E. Our kids did not feel they got enough of our time, and they are right.

When I missed the seminars, I missed the seminars. I sat at football games wondering what I was missing. I wondered what I might have heard that could have moved us forward in our businesses. I missed the crowd of excited people all heading in the same direction. I don't know if I missed that "one thing" that I needed to hear, but at least I did not miss the final four seasons of my son's football career. He was an exceptional athlete, and expecting to go to the NFL, but he hurt his knee playing basketball 1 month before try-outs.

His dream of being a football player is over, but I still have the rest of my life to become the best person I can be and help others to do the same. I am back on track and more fired up than ever about our leadership team. I never plan to miss another miss a seminar, but emergencies do come up. As far as other people, we can empathize with people and let them know how we would decide what to do, but they will have to make their own decisions.

When you miss a seminar, you will never know what you missed.

Why Attend A Leadership Seminar Every Month?

Associate with like-minded people at least once a month.

One thing I heard all the tine growing up is "be careful who you hang around with."
Why? You become like the people you associate with.

We are exposed to so much negative that we really do need to get with a positive team of winners to get refueled.

No matter how much you want to accomplish, no matter how big your dreams are, no matter how motivated you think you are, you still need to get with a crowd of excited, fired-up people who are hungry to learn and keep growing.

My husband and I have been involved in an on-going leadership development program since 1991. We were young when we started our first company, a water treatment dealership. We had no clue about business or how to deal with people. We struggled but we were successful. One thing I learned early in business was I could learn a lot from the other dealers.

We went to every seminar the company had, every dealer meeting, sales meeting, management school, etc. I even went to every service meeting and learned how to work on water softeners so I had more knowledge talking to customers. At the breaks and lunches, I always drilled people for their marketing ideas, service policies, advertising strategies, etc.

When we had a opportunity to start going to theses monthly leadership seminars, I jumped at the chance. I looked forward to every seminar. I was anxious to learn from other leaders and hang out with excited people.

After dealing with customers and employees all month, it was a breath of fresh air to get in a positive atmosphere.

Associate with like-minded people at least once a month.

Can You Afford Not To Read?

Don't tell me you can't afford a book a month.

You can't afford not to read! Reading keeps your mind sharp, and if you are reading good books it will change your thinking. If you change your thinking, you will change your attitude. If you change your attitude, you will change your whole perspective on life. You will see that you can be the best person God created you to be. You will get excited about life and helping people to become the best that they can be.

You will start to share what you are reading with others and soon they will do the same. If enough people start reading and changing their thinking, we can change the culture in America.

I think it is so sad that our young people tend not to read anymore. I couldn't wait to give my grown sons a copy of the new book I just got a hold of, Launching a Leadership Revolution.

I gave it to them at different times when the other wasn't around. The response was the same. They both gave it right back and said they don't read books. I told them it would make a difference in their life, but they still gave it back.

The hottest trend on the internet is YouTube because people like to be entertained. They would rather watch something, than make something happen for themselves.

Ok, you say you want to read, but you can't afford a book every month. Don't tell me you can't afford 1 book a month!

Skip a fast food meal a week and you'll have a library in no time.
You feed your stomach, why not feed your mind?

I find it is very easy to find a lot of used books at yard sales, resale and consignment shops and hand them out to my family, friends, church, and clients.

I only pick up the books I have read or know are on our preferred booklist or by the same authors or speakers I listen to. My mentors often mention another book they are currently reading, and I start looking for it as well.

So you can't use the excuse that you can't afford books, don't forget about the public library or your church library.

You are going to be here, so why not pick up a book and start reading a few minutes a day and see what a difference it can make in your life.

I like to hang on to all the books I've read, so I have tons of books over the years. I love to read them again and again. It never fails that I learn something new, no matter how many times I have read that same book.

Books are everywhere. You probably have at least one friend that loves to read. Get them to buy the book. Tell them when they are finished with it, you would love to read it. Be creative. Figure out a way!

Don't tell me you can't afford a book a month.

Read With A Highlighter and Intent To Learn

Have a highlighter and notebook with you when you read.

One thing I have learned over the years, is I will learn a lot more while I am reading if I have a highlighter in my hand while I am reading. I will read with a more specific intent to study and apply what I am learning, instead of just reading to get through a book.

I always keep a tablet or a notebook nearby as well. When I am reading, I often think of things I need to do right away, or I start writing about what I just read.
For instance, if I am reading about setting goals, I will set them right away. Sometimes If don't do things right away, I tend to forget about it later on. Also, reading often jogs my memory about something I forgot about, or gives me new ideas that I want to get started on. Sometimes while I am reading, I think of someone I should call and tell about the book, or something I have just learned.

Even when I am surfing the internet or reading articles on the internet, I have a tablet handy and take notes. I bookmark a lot of sites, and/or copy and paste a lot of good info and e-mail it to myself.

You know it was a really good book if more pages are highlighted than not. I also make notes on the side of the pages. I put stars where things were extra exciting or important to me.
Of course, if it is a borrowed book or a library book you can't do that. Instead I will take notes while I am reading. If I really enjoyed the book, I will buy one and start all over again with a highlighter in my hand and have the notes nearby that I already took the first time I read it.

I will often give my sister(the hair stylist) a book. She will read the back and a few pages and give it back to me. She always goes out and buys her own book so she can highlight and write in it.

I don't think it is as important to fly through books just to say you read them, as it is to actually study or digest what you are reading. I can honestly say that when I read just to get through something, it did not mean as much as when I read to learn and take time to get a nugget or something to digest or meditate on.

There was a time in my life when I tried to read so many chapters a day in the Bible, just so I could stand up when they asked at church who read through the Bible last year.

One year I stood up and I was the only teen who read the Bible, and the youth Pastor gave me $20.00. I was fired up! To a teen that babysat to make extra money, that was a fortune at the time! I guess it was an incentive to get others to read their Bible that year.

That was when I was in 8th grade and it was still cool (and allowed) to carry a Bible to school. I was really on fire for the Lord, (I cooled off over the years, but I'm on fire once again) and really enjoyed reading my Bible. Any free minute I got, I grabbed my highlighter and my Bible and read it. I was really excited about it then, and not the least bit ashamed to carry it. The guy I had a crush on at church in my youth group also carried his Bible to school.

I remember having a goal that year to highlight at least something in every chapter that really spoke to me or I felt was really important. After that, I started reading other books with a highlighter and did the same thing. Funny, nobody told me to do it. It was self-learned. I guess I was pretty smart way back when.

Wow, that brings back some awesome memories of my youth group days at church. We had a lot of fun.

If you read with an intent to learn something, you will. The more you read, the more you will want to read. Whenever I have gone on a trip with my leadership team, I have noticed that the leaders read at the airport, laying on the beach in the sun, and even sitting in the lounges in Alaska on a cruise. If they aren't reading, they are talking about the book they are reading.

There is a real buzz right now about the featured book, Launching a Leadership Revolution by Chris Brady and Orrin Woodward. Everyone is talking about it! Some have said they have almost the whole book highlighted. There is so much to learn and apply in that book! Stuff that will make you a better leader that day!

Get it now and start reading!

Have a highlighter and notebook with you when you read.

Reading A Book Every Month Keeps You Growing

A book can make a difference in your life.

I can not wait to get the book of the month from our personal growth and leadership development provider.

A book can change your thinking and when you are thinking right, so many things get better in life!

I love to read. I always have. I love the fact that I am reading a hand-picked book that the world's foremost leaders
and my mentors are reading also. I don't need to go to the bookstore and waste my time searching for a book, spending a lot of money, and realizing the book was of no value to me at all.

We often had employee meetings to discuss the books and tell them exciting things we learned. We even gave our employees books to read and tapes to listen to.
I even took time with my secretary and we did a book study together. I was actually paying her to study a book with me. It was A More Excellent Woman. I saw her change little by little before my eyes. We set goals and worked on things together. I watched her blossom and she became more enthusiastic. That book made a difference in both of our lives!

In addition to the book of the month, I also get cds and other books every month for spiritual growth. I support several ministries monthly, and some of them send us a cd every month. I also purchase alot of cd or dvd series on subjects that I want to dig into.

Don't forget to read your Bible, even if you only read one verse a day. Even 1 verse a day will get you through 365 verses. That's more than most people read.
I find that even reading 1 verse a day will get your day started off on a better track than if you don't read it at all.

Sometimes my plan is to read a verse or two and before I know it I have read several chapters, just because I couldn't put it down. There is a lot of good stuff in there, and the more you read it, the more you will want to read more.

I like to read the Bible that has the words of Jesus in red. If I'm in a hurry, I will read His words. It's like He is speaking to me. It always seems that no matter what I am going through at the time, that what I am reading that day will apply to me.

A book can make a difference in your life.

2 CDS a Day for Personal Development and Leadership Training

2 cds a day will help keep the negative attitude away.

My husband & I have been involved with an ongoing personal development program for 16 years. Our program consists of 2 cds a week and a book of the month.

We were young when we started our first company, a water treatment dealership. We had no clue about business or how to deal with people, but we were determined to never have to work for someone. We had big dreams and we knew having a job would never get us what we wanted.

We hired an employee who loaned me a set of 12 tapes by Tom Hopkins. "The Art of Selling."
My sales went through the roof. I had a confidence I never had before. I learned how to handle objections and close sales.

I learned so much from those tapes. I wanted to learn more. I paid for those tapes and started my own search for more tapes, which led me to Dennis Waitley, Zig Ziglar, Norman Vincent Peale, Earl Nightingale and other motivational speakers. I listened to my tapes every morning. Whenever I was in the kitchen or my car my tape player was on.

We were introduced to the personal development program a few years later, and I became so excited. We got 2 tapes (cds were not born yet) and a book of the month.

This was exactly what I needed. I didn't have to waste my time trying to figure out what to buy next. It came automatically. I was never disappointed with the speakers, subjects or quality of the material!

I really started growing and became much better in all areas of my life. I could not wait to get our new tapes. Now we are on a cd program. We can't wait to get our cds. I run in from the mailbox and put them in, hungry for more information.

I listen to them all right away, and then I listen to them over and over again!

Some people say they can't afford the cds or the personal development program. I say, can you afford not to have it? I feel it is the best investment I could possibly make in myself. I am worth it!

Why continuing education?
Would you go to a doctor, mechanic, or even a hairdresser that does not keep up on what's new in their field? I don't think so.

My sister is a hairdresser. She gets magazines and books all the time with the latest hairstyles and new techniques. She reads books all the time to improve her people skills, marketing, etc.
She even gets dvds sent to her monthly so she can watch the new haircuts being done.

She does not look at the expense. She considers everything an investment. An investment in herself and in her business. She said one haircut or one new customer will more than pay for a cd or dvd, or even a book.

I consider our program the best investment I can possibly make in myself. I also get cds and other books every month for spiritual growth from other sources.

I'm learning all the time and it doesn't cost me a lot. Look at the price of college tuition or even 1 textbook.
I never went to college, but I tell people I am attending Leadership University whenever I want to. All I have to do is put in a cd and I'm there!

2 cds a day will help keep the negative attitude away.

Leaders Read at Least 15 Minutes a Day

If you want to be a leader, you must get a good book and start a new habit of daily reading!

All readers are not leaders, but all leaders are readers.

If you read any biography of a successful person or leader, almost always you will find that they talked about the books that they red. Some by candlelight, some by kerosene lamps, fireplaces, flashlights, or daylight.

It is without a doubt that one of the keys to their success is most definitely reading.
We suggest reading a good book at least 15 minutes a day.

Do you realize if you read 15 minutes a day for 1 year, that is 5475 minutes.
Break that down and that is 91 hours or almost 4 days of your life.

What if you spend 30 minutes reading a day?
That would be 10,950 minutes in one year, which is equivalent to 182 hours, or almost 8 days.

If the average person watches 8 hours a day, and decides to read instead, that would be 121.66 days in a year or 17.38 weeks in one year.

Think about that the next time you grab the remote!

Imagine if you spent that much time reading the right books to change your thinking as the successful leaders have done!

We disconnected our TV to do some remodeling in January and we still have not connected it.
The remodeling took longer than we thought it would, and we found out that we could actually live without it.
We turned our TV time into cd and/or reading time and have seen a great improvement in our personal and spiritual growth.

Why do I read everyday?
To keep my mind focused on leadership skills.
To keep my mind on what's important.
To stay in the habit of reading.
To keep a positive attitude.
To change my thinking from the average person to a successful person's thinking.
Because my mentors never miss a day of reading.

If you don't think you can find the time to read, take a book with you wherever you go. When you get in a traffic jam or are sitting in a doctor's office, or waiting to pick your kids up at school read. You'll be surprised how much you can read in a short time.

I have heard many people catch up their reading in the "throne room." Whatever works for you. Go for it!

Remember:
Charlie Tremendous Jones said :"Readers are Leaders and Leaders are Readers."

If you want to be a leader, you must get a good book and start a new habit of daily reading!

Leaders Set Goals For The Coming Year!

Wow! This year sure went by fast!

Hope you took time this week to really think about what you want to accomplish in 2008!

Set some lofty goals and then break them down into monthly and weekly goals.
Then figure out what you must do daily to reach your weekly goals.

You eat a roll of salami one bite at a time.

Ok, you can eat a 50 lb tub of Hershey kisses one kiss at a time.

Have a great New Year's Eve party and don't drink and drive!

See you next year!

Take Baby Steps

One foot, then the other!

One thing I have learned is to take things one step at a time. I used to jump into things with both feet and then I would be overwhelmed. If I would have just tested the waters first I could have saved time and money.

One example comes from our water treatment dealership. I was at a dealer meeting and they talked about a promotion to give away turkey platters with a free water test. I got so excited I ordered cases of turkey platters, did a mailer and waited for our phone to ring.
If I would have bought a few to try it out, I would have found that nobody wanted a turkey platter. The few people that did call for the free water test told me to keep my platter and give it to somebody else. I think I carried turkey platters in my trunk for a few years. Finally, one Christmas I wrapped them all up and gave them to everyone in the family that was old enough to have a turkey platter.
I still had plenty left and gave them as shower gifts with kitchen towels and other kitchen supplies wrapped with them. It turns out that most of the younger family members that didn't get a platter for Christmas, eventually ended up getting one for their bridal shower.
I have other examples too share of similar "overboard" decisions, but they are for another day.

One foot, then the other!

Leaders Develop Good Habits

What habits can you start changing today that will propel you to your goals?

I am your constant companion,
I am your greatest helper or your heaviest burden.
I will push you onward or drag you down to failure.
I am at your command.
Half of the tasks you do you might just as well turn over to me,
And I will do them quickly and correctly.

I am easily managed, you must simply be firm with me,
Show me exactly how you want something done;
After a few lessons I will do it automatically.
I am the servant of all great people and alas of all failures as well.

Those who are great I have made great,
Those who are failures I have made failures.
I am not a machine, but I work with all of the precision of a machine, Plus the intelligence of a person.

Now, you may run me for profit or you may run me
For ruin. It makes no difference to me.
Take me, train me, be firm with me,
And I will lay the world at your feet.
Be easy with me and I will destroy you.

WHO AM I?............. I AM CALLED HABIT.
~Author unknown.

It takes 21 days to change a habit.
It is easy to change habits one step at a time.
So many things we do everyday, we don't even realize we do them because we are so used to doing them.

Let's all pick one habit today to work on this month.
By the end of the month you will have a new habit!

Maybe cut an hour of TV and read a good book instead?

What habits can you start changing today that will propel you to your goals?

Leaders Have An Attitude Of Gratitude!

If you are thankful for what you have, God will give you more!

One thing I have noticed with every single leader I have come in contact with is they all have an attitude of gratitude!

They are thankful to God for giving them an opportunity to become leaders and help people.

They don't forget where they came from! They are humble. They don't look down on people.
They are big givers. They give encouragement everywhere they go.

They thank people all the time for every little thing and they give big tips. Even if we just have a glass of water and a piece of pie, they leave big tips because we took up a table that somebody else could have used.

They do random acts of kindness and tell people to pay it forward. Wasn't that a great movie?
Everyone should watch that movie and put pay it forward into practice.

One thing I love to do is give stuff away on Freecycle. No matter how big or how small, or how used, someone is always grateful for free stuff. Don't throw perfectly good stuff away, freecycle it! t only takes a minute and it could make someone's day.

If you are thankful for what you have, God will give you more!

Leaders Are Efficient, Not Just Busy

Are you busy or efficient?

Busyness does not make you money, efficiency does.

Successful people who have shortened their work week and still have a decent lifestyle have learned to be efficient with their time.

They know if they delegate menial tasks or even outsource them to freelancers, maids, landscapers, or even personal shoppers, they can focus on what is important, including time with their family.

One of our mentors often makes a comment, you don't have a money problem, you have a time problem.
If you learn to use your time efficiently and focus on what will make you money, you will no longer have a money problem.

He also has said a bag of money will solve any problem.

He doesn't get stressed out over anything. He just dials 7 numbers and whatever it was will be taken care of.

Did you ever notice successful people stay younger looking than stressed out broke people.
That is because they don't have to worry about every little thing that happens. They have the resources to take care of whatever comes their way.

I used to work so hard and yet it seemed like I had a hole in my wallet. Where did my money go? Now I am excited because I am making money, learning to work smarter, not harder, and I have the best mentors in the world for different areas in my life.

Are you busy or efficient?

Break Your Plan Down Into Bite-sized Pieces

How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

How do you accomplish your long-term plans? Break them down into bite-sized pieces. If you have a 5-year plan, break it down into what you must do by the year to get it done in 5 years.
After you do that, break your 1 year plan into the next 12 months. What must you do each month for the next 12 months to hit your 12 month goal?
After you do your monthly goals, break them down into daily goals. What must you do everyday in the next 30 days to be able to reach your monthly goals.

Do What You Love And You Will Never Have A J-O-B

If you find something you love to do, you will love doing it, and it won't seem like a J-O-B.

There are thousand's of jobs. If you are doing something you hate, then reevaluate and get something you will at least like.

If you don't know how to pick a job, then think about what you really enjoy doing. What are you good at? What hobbies do you have? Do you like to work with people?

One thing I love about coaching people is I am able to spend time with them, help them set goals, keep them accountable, and see them improve their lives.

As a result of the personal development program we use, we have seen so many people become better husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, etc We have seen them get a better self-image and step out and take risks.

How many people today at work said TGIF! They will party or watch TV all weekend and then the they start dreading work on Sunday afternoon, and let it ruin the rest of their day.How many people drive thru traffic lights on their way to work because they are in such a rut, they just drive and don't pay attention.

Start a business or change jobs. Do something to get yourself out of the daily grind or rut you may be in. Get involved with a personal development program and strive to become the best person you can be!

I know just since I have been writing this blog, I have been feeling so much better about myself. My confidence has gone way up and I am looking forward to presenting leadership training at seminars. I personally believe that there is no one that could not benefit from the personal development program. I am anxious to help thousands of people.

If you find something you love to do, you will love doing it, and it won't seem like a J-O-B.

Are You a Thermostat Or Are You A Thermometer?

Your attitude determines the attitude of everyone around you.

Remember the saying, "If mamma ain't happy, then nobody's happy?" It's true!

Are you a thermostat or are you a thermometer?

A thermostat determines the atmosphere of the whole house. It doesn't know if it is hot or cold, it just knows what it is supposed to do. It recognizes the temperature and makes adjustments when it needs to.

A thermometer measures the current temperature of the atmosphere.

If you are a thermometer, you will reflect the attitude of the room no matter what the attitude is. If other people are happy, you are happy. But if they are sad, you will be sad.

If you are a thermostat and the attitude of the room is happy, you reflect the happiness and no adjustment is needed. But if the attitude of the room is sad, you are still happy and because you are happy, other people will start to get happy.

Happiness is contagious, so make someone's day and give them a big smile and you just might become a thermostat in their life that day.

Your attitude determines the attitude of everyone around you.

Smile - You Might Make Someone's Day

It doesn't cost you anything to give it away so SMILE and make somebody's day.

One thing that all great leaders have is a big smile. My mentors always are smiling! I have never seen them down! Some might say "if I had their income, I'd be smiling too." While that may be true, I believe their smiles are genuine because of the leadership skills they have acquired through their quest to become leaders.
Their personal goal was to be the best person they could be and they plugged into a personal development and leadership training program on an ongoing basis. They continually seek to grow in all areas of their lives.
I personally have made a decision to give a big smile to everyone I meet and if the smile back, I say hi to them.
You would be surprised at how many people respond with a smile and an encouraging word back. Of course you still get the grumps who look like they should have stayed at home that day, but I think there are more smilers than grumps.

It doesn't cost you anything to give it away so SMILE and make somebody's day.

Orrin And Laurie Woodward - Keynote Speakers At Leadership Development Seminar

We had the privilege of hearing Orrin and Laurie Woodward speak in Harrisburg, PA. Orrin is the a co-author of the book, Launching a Leadership Revolution: Mastering the Five Levels of InfluenceIt is now the #1 book on the best-seller list on the Wall Street Journal business book list. There have been over 75,000 copies sold in less than a month! All proceeds of the book have been donated to charity even before the book was released.

They are some of the most sought after speakers in the world. They have spoken all over the United States and in 3 continents. They are traveling almost every weekend and signing books.

Orrin talked about the 10 Characteristics of a leader. He also talked about the 7 highly effective habits of an effective person. What is really neat is he includes examples, either from his personal life or from History. He is so interesting to listen to.

Laurie talked about having a better relationship with you spouse. She talked about how for over half of their marriage they both wanted to lead and they fought all the time. They are both choleric personalities. There story sounded exactly like mine!

Reading books helped them both to develop people skills and build a better relationship. Reading books helped them to develop their leadership skills. They continue to read and they continue to grow.

It was a very informative leadership seminar. One I am glad I did not miss. We got to meet them personally and chat with them briefly. They are wonderful, down-to-earth people. I will definitely purchase any other books written by them! My husband and I got our books signed and they will definitely be part of a leadership legacy we leave for our grandchildren.

If you get a chance to hear them speak, it will definitely be worth your while!

Introduction to Leadership Revolution 101

Everyone can be a leader with the right information, the right mentor, and the right association.

I believe the key to personal growth, and I am speaking from my own personal experience, is:

1. The books you read daily.
2. The information you listen to.
3. The mentor or life coach you are accountable to.
4. The groups you associate with.

I have had the pleasure of hearing Charlie Tremendous Jones speak at several leadership seminars. It never fails that he says "
you are the same today as you'll be in five years except for two things, the people you meet and the books you read."

I have heard other leaders say you will be the same today in five years except for the books you read, the cds you listen to and the people you associate with.

Having been involved in a personal development system for over 16 years, I know I am a much better person than if I would not have been. My life has been changed by the books I read, the cds I listen to, and the successful mentors that I counsel with. I attend leadership seminars every chance I get. Just hanging out with like-minded people hungry for personal growth and leadership development fires me up.

I believe there is room for improvement for leadership in everyone, not just managers, company owners, and the President.
Even the lowest person on the bottom of the corporate pyramid, students, housewives and great grandmothers deserve a chance to become the best they can be.

There is no age limit for personal growth. I believe even a child listening to cds in the car with you while you drive will pick up some valuable principles that will help them in later years.
Remember garbage in... garbage out!
Wisdom in... wisdom out.

I believe even my 90 year-old grandmother was hungry to learn and she strived to became a better person daily even towards the final days of her life. She often listened to my cds when we driving in the car. She was always reading books (especially the BIBLE) and striving to become better.

I hope to leave a legacy of wisdom and leadership in my family that will pass down through the generations. Perhaps it will start with bits and pieces from this leadership blog.

I will say it again because it is so important!
Everyone can be a leader with the right information, the right mentor, and the right association.
