2 CDS a Day for Personal Development and Leadership Training

2 cds a day will help keep the negative attitude away.

Why leadership personal development program and seminars? Why have my husband & I have been involved with an ongoing personal development program since 1991? Our program consists of 2 CDs a week and a book of the month.
Let me start of by telling you how I first got hooked on audio information.
We were young when we started our first company in 1981, a water treatment dealership. We had no clue about business or how to deal with people, but we were determined to never have to work for someone. We had big dreams and we knew having a job would never get us what we wanted.
We hired an employee who loaned me a set of 12 tapes by Tom Hopkins. "The Art of Selling."
My sales went through the roof. I had a confidence I never had before. I learned how to handle objections and close sales.
I learned so much from those tapes. I wanted to learn more. I paid for those tapes and started my own search for more tapes, which led me to Dennis Waitley, Zig Ziglar, Norman Vincent Peale, Earl Nightingale and other motivational speakers. I listened to my tapes every morning. Whenever I was in the kitchen or my car my tape player was on.
We were introduced to a personal development program a few years later, and I became so excited. We got 2 tapes (CDs were not born yet) and a book of the month.
This was exactly what I needed. I didn't have to waste my time trying to figure out what to buy next. It came automatically. I was never disappointed with the speakers, subjects or quality of the material!
I really started growing and became much better in all areas of my life. I could not wait to get our new tapes. Now we are on a CD program. We can't wait to get our cds. I run in from the mailbox and put them in, hungry for more information.
I listen to them all right away, and then I listen to them over and over again!
Some people say they can't afford the CDs or the personal development program. I say, can you afford not to have it? I feel it is the best investment I could possibly make in myself. I am worth it!

Can You Afford Not To Read?

Don't tell me you can't afford a book a month.

You can't afford not to read everyday! Reading keeps your mind sharp, and if you are reading good books it will change your thinking. If you change your thinking, you will change your attitude. If you change your attitude, you will change your whole perspective on life. You will see that you can be the best person God created you to be. You will get excited about life and helping people to become the best that they can be.
You will start to share what you are reading with others and soon they will do the same. If enough people start reading and changing their thinking, we can change the culture in America.
I think it is so sad that our young people tend not to read anymore. I couldn't wait to give my grown sons a copy of a New York Best Seller, Launching a Leadership Revolution by Orrin Woodward and Chris Brady.
I gave it to them at different times when the other wasn't around. The response was the same. They both gave it right back and said they don't read books. I told them it would make a difference in their life, but they still gave it back.
How sad! Reading is one of the most important things you can do that does not cost you anything and can change your life. If you want to step out of the crowd, develop a habit of reading for 15 minutes a day.
You will see changes in your attitude and others will see changes in you. You will gain more confidence and that will give you a better self-esteem.
So take the first step and pick up a good book.

Read With A Highlighter and Intent To Learn

Have a highlighter and notebook with you when you read.

I don't think it is as important to fly through books just to say you read them, as it is to actually study or digest what you are reading. I can honestly say that when I read just to get through something, it did not mean as much as when I read with an intent to learn and take time to get a nugget or something to digest or meditate on.
There was a time in my life when I tried to read so many chapters a day in the Bible, just so I could stand up when they asked at church who read through the Bible last year.
One year I stood up and I was the only teen who read the Bible, and the youth Pastor gave me $20.00. I was fired up! To a teen that babysat to make extra money, that was a fortune at the time! I guess it was an incentive to get others to read their Bible that year.
That was when I was in 8th grade and it was still cool (and allowed) to carry a Bible to school. I was really on fire for the Lord, (I cooled off over the years, but I'm on fire once again) and really enjoyed reading my Bible. Any free minute I got, I grabbed my highlighter and my Bible and read it. I was really excited about it then, and not the least bit ashamed to carry it. The guy I had a crush on at church in my youth group also carried his Bible to school.
I remember having a goal that year to highlight at least something in every chapter that really spoke to me or I felt was really important. After that, I started reading other books with a highlighter and did the same thing. Funny, nobody told me to do it. It was self-learned. I guess I was pretty smart way back when.Wow, that brings back some awesome memories of my youth group days at church. We had a lot of fun.
If you read with an intent to learn something, you will learn something. The more you read, the more you will want to read. Whenever I have gone on a trip with my leadership team, I have noticed that the leaders read at the airport, laying on the beach in the sun, and even sitting in the lounges in Alaska on a cruise. If they aren't reading, they are talking about the book they are reading.

Leaders Read at Least 15 Minutes a Day

If you want to be a leader, you must get a good book and start a new habit of daily reading!

If you want to be a leader, you must get a good book and start a new habit of daily reading!
All readers are not leaders, but all leaders are readers.
If you read any biography of a successful person or leader, you will almost always find that they talked about the books that they read. Some by candlelight, some by kerosene lamps, fireplaces, flashlights, or daylight.
It is without a doubt that one of the keys to their success is most definitely reading.
We suggest reading a good book at least 15 minutes a day.
Do you realize if you read 15 minutes a day for 1 year, that is 5475 minutes.
Break that down and that is 91 hours or almost 4 days of your life.
What if you spend 30 minutes reading a day?
That would be 10,950 minutes in one year, which is equivalent to 182 hours, or almost 8 days.
If the average person watches 8 hours a day, and decides to read instead, that would be 121.66 days in a year or 17.38 weeks in one year.
Think about that the next time you grab the remote!
Imagine if you spent that much time reading the right books to change your thinking as the successful leaders have done!
We disconnected our TV to do some remodeling in January 2007 and we still have not connected it.
The remodeling took longer than we thought it would, and we found out that we could actually live without it.
We turned our TV time into cd and/or reading time and have seen a great improvement in our personal and spiritual growth. I hope after reading this you will decide to spend more time reading.

Smile - You Might Make Someone's Day

It doesn't cost you anything to give it away so SMILE and make somebody's day.

One thing that all great leaders have is a big smile. My mentors are always smiling! I have never seen them down! Some might say "if I had their income, I would be smiling too." While that may be true, I know their smiles are genuine because of the leadership skills they have acquired through their quest to become leaders.
Their personal goal was to be the best person they could be and they plugged into a personal development and leadership training program on an ongoing basis. They continually seek to grow in all areas of their lives. You can tell they are genuine! They are the same people whether they are on the stage in front of a big crowd or sitting with you around a campfire.
Anytime we get with our mentors, you can tell they truly love people. You can tell they really do care about you and want to help you become the best you can be. They want us to be able to have the awesome lifestyle they have!
Do you know someone who is always happy to see you? When you think of them, I know you can picture them with a smile on their face!
My grandma was a great mentor and she was always smiling. She laughed a lot too! We loved watching funny movies with her just to hear her laugh. Sometimes we would laugh more at hearing her laugh than at the movie. Babies love to smile! What we can learn from the youngest to the oldest!
I personally have made a decision to give a big smile to everyone I meet and if they smile back, I say hi to them.
You would be surprised at how many people respond with a smile and an encouraging word back. Of course you still get the grumps who look like they should have stayed at home that day, but I think there are more smilers than grumps.
First, make a goal to give some big smiles away today!

Leaders Are Efficient, Not Just Busy

Are you busy or efficient?

Busyness does not make you money, efficiency does. Successful people who have shortened their work week and still have a decent lifestyle have learned to be efficient with their time. They know if they delegate menial tasks or even outsource them to freelancers, maids, landscapers, or even personal shoppers, they can focus on what is important, including time with their family.
One of our mentors often makes a comment, you don't have a money problem, you have a time problem. If you learn to use your time efficiently and focus on what will make you money, you will no longer have a money problem. He also has said a bag of money will solve any problem.
He doesn't get stressed out over anything. He just dials 7 numbers and whatever it was will be taken care of.
Did you ever notice successful people stay younger looking than stressed out broke people.
That is because they don't have to worry about every little thing that happens. They have the resources to take care of whatever comes their way.
It is so sad, but it is true that 95% of the people make 5% of the wealth? Why? Because they think differently than we do.
I used to work so hard and yet it seemed like I had a hole in my wallet. Where did my money go? I decided to start learning from the leaders in the 5%. Now I am excited because I am making money, learning to work smarter, not harder, and I have the best mentors in the world for different areas in my life.
First, think of what you would like to achieve.
Next, after figuring out if you are busy or efficient, if you want to be efficient, learn how you can find a mentor, participate in a leadership development program or start an online business and make money using the power of the internet while you sleep, visit Pam Eppinette
